About Mattecentrum
Mattecentrum is a Swedish non-profit organization that provides free math tutoring.
Our mission is to promote equal access to learning, enhance students' mathematical knowledge, and foster a greater interest in mathematics. Mattecentrum operates both online and offline, offering all of its services completely free of charge to participants.
Mattecentrum is funded through a combination of public grants, corporate sponsorships, foundation support, and individual donations.

Math labs
We organize tutoring sessions, known as "math labs," in cities across Sweden, where volunteers assist students with their homework. The math labs are open to everyone, regardless of their level of knowledge, curriculum, or school.

MathPlanet is a free online resource for studying math. Take our high school math courses in Pre-algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Geometry. We also offer practice tests for the SAT and ACT.
Math Conventions
Each year we host math conventions in cities across Sweden just before the national mathematics exams. These exams are mandatory for all upper secondary school students in Sweden. At these conventions, our volunteers help around 2,500 students (a number that continues to grow annually) prepare and practice for the exams.
Volunteers
All of Mattecentrum's volunteers are highly skilled and passionate about mathematics. They are eager to share their knowledge and love for the subject, with all having studied mathematics at least at the upper secondary level—many have pursued further studies or careers in math-related fields.
Interested in becoming a Mattecentrum volunteer? To fulfill this role, a high level of proficiency in Swedish is necessary.
